The difference between Magnetic lock and Bolt lock Jun 27, 2023

A magnetic lock, also known as an electromagnetic lock,

uses an electrical current to create a magnetic field that holds the lock in place. When power is applied, the lock is engaged and securely holds the door closed. To unlock the door, the power is cut off, releasing the magnetic field and allowing the door to be opened.

On the other hand, a bolt lock, or deadbolt lock, is a mechanical locking device.

It typically consists of a bolt that extends into the door frame and prevents the door from being opened without the correct key or mechanism. Bolt locks are operated manually, either by turning a key or using a thumb-turn mechanism on the inside of the door.

In summary, the main difference between a magnetic lock and a bolt lock is the way they operate.

Magnetic locks use an electrical current and a magnetic field to secure the door, while bolt locks rely on a mechanical bolt that physically engages with the door frame.
